In addition to the central administration, the ministry also includes the so-called “subordinate agencies”, which also implement federal tasks. The ministry also outsources certain services to external institutions.
The subordinate agencies belong to the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Regions and Tourism and implement federal tasks. This includes agricultural and forestry schools or federal offices, but also, for example, the Austrian federal gardens.
The outsourced institutions of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism are separate legal entities, which, however take over certain state services. These include for example Agrarmarkt Austria, the Austrian Federal Forests, and the Spanish Riding School.
