“CORE Organic” is an initiative of the European Union aimed at promoting research on organic farming by cooperation among member states.

CORE Organic” and "CORE Organic II" are parts of the ERA-Net Programme of the European Commission which aims to foster transboundary cooperation between national research teams and institutions. “CORE Organic” is presently carried out by eleven European countries, but is open to all EU Member States that support research about organic farming and on organic food management by means of a national aid programme.
